Sealed-beam headlight mod question
I'm sort of leaning toward restoring my Jimmy's front end to the 95-97 look (former owner had a small accident and replaced the grill, lights, and hood with Blazer parts), as it just seems to me to have a bit more character than the 98+ Jimmy front end, which seems so "generic SUV". I see that there seems to be a choice for my grille, of either sealed-beam or composite headlights.
I've looked on the internet for some photos but I can't seem to find any examples of a 95-97 Jimmy with stock sealed-beam headlights; they only seem to have composite. But surely the choice in aftermarket parts wouldn't exist unless the sealed beams really were an option on these vehicles; so why can't I seem to find any photos of them? At any rate, the headlights and grille are available. Here's the question: has somebody somewhere made a headlight that looks like a sealed-beam unit, but actually takes halogen bulbs? And if not, and I decide to go with a sealed-beam lamp, is there nothing more to the mod than cutting off the halogen-bulb plug and splicing on a sealed-beam plug? |

You might want to get the relay harness from LMC truck to go along with them, it will make the lights brighter, and put less strain on your electrical system .

I just went over to LMC to look at that relay and it shows to put all the lights on at the same time, now i have a 95 so its just the signle square sealed beam, would i still want/need that relay if its only one light?
