Seat bolts

I have a 1999 chevy blazer and im trying to remove the drivers seat so i can clean the carpet and run power wire/rcas, etc but theres 1 torx bolt and 3 regular nuts but im having trouble getting the torx bolt out... i got the passenger seat out but ive broke 2 T50 bits trying to get the drivers side out....

does any one have any tips on how to get it out?

penetrating oil. heat. a hammer to smack the crap off/out of it.

not exactly in that order or even all of them. but just some thoughts.

You should be able to see the bottom of the bolt from underneath the truck. Hit it with some penetrating oil and let it sit for a while before attempting to break it loose. Other than that try getting a torx bit that comes with a warranty so you don't have to keep shelling out for new ones.

The other thing you can try is tightening it just a tiny bit. Sometimes this will free the seized bolt allowing you to then loosen it. As for the seat bolt from underneath, Try jacking the truck up and see if there's a different angle you can view it from, maybe from closer to the rear or from the front.

I finally got it out i ended up using a air chisel on the side of the bolt till it broke lose and then it came out

good thinking.

when i said hammer, i guess i should have also said punch. some times you can put the punch in the middle of the bolt, from the top, and hit it a few good times. usually its just enough to get it to go.
