Seat Swap

5 Attachment(s)
I tried to ask on merriks forum because i saw him do the swap but i never heard back. So i was wondering about doing a seat swap.

I pulled the 3rd row seat from a 2001 Yukon. I pulled the original k5 seat out today and put the Yukon swap in there just to see if it lines up but it does not.
It will fit between the wheel wells but its a bit snug.

Do you know if his rail plans he designed would work with a Suburban/Yukon 3rd row seat. They look identical other than his has the split option.

I believe he is referring to MerricksGarage.com.

I'm not sure if there were changes to the mounting locations from the 2000-2006 GMT820/830 to the 2007-2014 GMT920/930 third row seats. The seats that Merrick used were GMT930 folding 3rd row seats that I believe are the same ones found in all of the GMT920 (Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade) and GMT930 (Yukon XL, Suburban, & Escalade ESV) SUVs. You could measure up the mounting on the seats you have and compare them to the plans that Merrick has on his site.
