Seat swapping

I am going to be looking into options for replacing the old, worn-out leather, powered seats in my 1999 Jimmy. I briefly looked into aftermarket buckets, but none of them look all that comfortable (I have lower spinal problems, so comfort is a big factor). So instead I am looking into swapping in seats from other vehicles. I am first looking at seats from other GM vehicles of the same era. Logic tells me if any wiring is involved, the wiring for other 1999 Chevys, GMCs and Pontiacs should be similar to cut down on costs of different connectors. But automotive manufacturing hasn't always used a whole lot of logic. So I guess this brings me to two questions:

Does anyone know if swapping in power seats from a similar era GM vehicles is a fairly simple process?

And what has your experiences been with seat swapping? Which seats were easy swaps that improved comfort and which ones were literal pains in the... personally, I once swapped some Fiero buckets into a Nissan 720, but it took a bit of fab work and they weren't as comfortable to sit in as they were cool to show off.

the buckets in my 01 Civic were in way better after 13yrs than my 05 Blazer at any time
They would require lots of modification to fit
I looked at swapping in some Integra seats but more fab work than I was willing to do
