I took my valence off what do you guys think? Should i keep it off or put it back on?

In my opinion, Blazers tend to look better with the valance gone. I took mine off.
I suggest you get a new bumper or fix your old one, would make it look much better.

If you put it back on and you off road any, it will take itself off.

I was hoping mine would take its self off

ive gotten close but it wont break .... I rubbed against rocks mud snowbanks almost any thing you can think of

Well I took some screws off then ripped the rest off, it would look better with a skid plate

Aesthetically or functionally? Personally, I prefer the looks with the valance. Unless it's beat to heck, of course. The smooth, classy (dare I say "classic"?) lines of the Blazer suddenly jerk to an stop with an unexpected view of the internals. It's like a beautiful woman who has exposed jawbone... Ok, it's nothing like that. Not even close. Sorry to put that image in your mind. Forget I ever said it.

But it does look unfinished to me. On the other hand - if you're offroad a lot it's probably more gooder without

.

To be honest, the valence looks better to the people who don't know anything about offroading. All they say is ooo, that guy has a bunch of rusty parts under his truck. Must be a redneck! Just my .02.

I think a trimmed lower valence looks great! It is in between the two extremes!

Second gens look like crap with it off, first gens look ok with it off, and yes fix that bumper haha

wyzardd 03-09-2012 11:40 PM

I hope you didn't take that personally. I spend at least 87% of my time on blacktop ... Well maintained blacktop. Flimsy stuff bolted on mainly for looks that's also the first thing to catch rocks/tree stumps/ditches/etc are ... What's that word? Superfluous? Something like that.

But I still like the looks :)

Jdub23 03-10-2012 11:08 AM

Yea that's my next step if fixing that bumper but I just took it off cause I will probably get a new one this week but the looks growing on me, I got mudding like every weekend so its pretty useful off
