Trim removel
Anyone know how to remove the trim thats on the doors and rear bumper with damaging the paint job? Im guessing its held on with two way tape.

I`v had good luck with a blow drier and patience. Starting from one end heating and pulling as the adhesive softened.
The real fun comes in removing the adhesive residue. Isopropyl alcohol, finger nails and patience. |
NON-monofilament fishing line (the dental floss looking stuff) and a gentle sawing motion... cut through the tape, not under it, then use a heat gun and goo-gone to remove the goo. then pack it all up and send it to me. i love my trim, and yours :D

This has been discussed numerous times at length. I believe there is even a good how-to written up on the forum. Do a search for "debadging" and you should find a lot of discussion about it.
Note that your trim on the rear bumper is held on with screws/bolts, and if you remove it there will be holes to fill. |
