Type of adhesive to use with weatherstripping

I need to reattach the weatherstripping at the top bend on both front doors on my 01 4dr. I see lots of different kinds/colors. Is there any specific type/brand I should go with?

So I had my 1999 manual handy and looked up how to reattach the weatherstripping. It only mentioned that it comes with an adhesive strip on the back to stick it in place. To me that means I would consider something akin to high-quality double-sided Scotch Tape. Carpet tape might work too if not too thick.

Interesting. Maybe I'll just replace it outright then. The way its pulled from the surface makes it look like it may have shrunk and will probably be problematic at best. The drivers side is especially bad because the hinge pins are shot, causing the door to hang down enough that you have to slam it shut and even then it still lets water in. Thanks!

I used a combination of all weather 3M double sided tape, and black weatherstripping adhesive...the glue/caulking kind of stuff. It's held up nicely, no more wet floor.
I have a thread on here about it, about 10 down from this one. :icon_biggrin:
