1.9L tdi blazer!

i have a 99 blazer 4x4 that i am wanting to do an engine swap on..I have a built 1.9L tdi engine out of a vw jetta that i am wanting to put in the blazer! I was wondering if anybody has ever even thought about doing this? and if its even possible

Everything is possible with enough time and money. But does it have the power needed to move the blazer faster than 50mph? 90 hp? Or 150 at best?

these blazers are heavy. and for what ive seen on a stock 1.9 you'll get tired of it quick at itll have some trouble pushing the blazer. Whats built about it? Id love to see a 250hp 1.9 pulling it lol.

I moved this thread to performance and brainstorming for now. I think it will fit better here since it is not an actual build more just a brainstorming and what if thread. If you decide to make it happen please make a detailed build thread for us to follow:)

Thanks! I fully built the 1.9L from the bottom up..i had it on the dyno in the jetta before it got wrecked and it had 245hp and 403tq! I have everything for it I just have to figure out how to wire it all to the blazer harness

Ahh, that'll definitely do the job then!

It should do alright! its got some torq so it should do good! with it being fully built, pistons, cam, injector nozzles and programing i was still able to get 48 mpg out of it still!
