4L60e Questions
I am going to rebuild my 99 Blazers 4L60e here within the next week. I would like the tranny to be able to handle 400 HP without batting an eye. This is my first transmission rebuild so I am learning a lot as I go but I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions on a good HD input shaft for me. Let me list what I have so far for my rebuild. I would love to hear peoples opinions. I am planning on doing Oregon performance's master overhaul kit, Raybestos Z-Pak, Transgo SK 4l60e, Corvette Servo, .490 boost valve, Transgo separator plate, all new electronics, upgraded 2-4 band (not sure which yet), Sonnax smart shell and a B&M Holeshot 2,300-2,500 stall TC. Again I would love to hear opinions. My thoughts for the car are to eventually add a turbo kit to push around 300-400 HP. This is also a daily driver.
Sounds interesting. Be sure to post updates.
The contribution I can make would be that you consider adding an extra transmission fluid cooler to prevent thermal damage to the seals. I ruined my transmission by letting it get too hot.
