AEM Brute Force

Does the AEM Brute Force CAI stick up higher off the top of the throttle body than the original air intake does? I wanted to get the K&N FIPK for my 98 blazer but it won't fit because I have a throttle body spacer installed, which would make it hit the hood. If the Brute Force one doesn't stick way up like the K&N one does then maybe I'll get that.
Also, I see that the Brute Force is made of metal. Does that metal get pretty hot? If it does it seems like it would kinda defeat the purpose of the cold part in cold air intake....

RE: AEM Brute Force

your stock housing is metal, so i doubt it gets too hot if the stock doesn't.
