Yes,just need to make sure the gears are the same.
Check the rpo codes in the glovebox.

If I get one with 3.73 gears and mine has 3.42 gears will I have to change something I'm my computer to run 3.73?

You`ll have to change the gears in the front trans axle, thats all. find one with 3.42 gears

I think the shift points may be off going to 3.73, someone correct me if im wrong. It can be fixed by having the pcm tuned.

Not positive but dont think so, that has to do with rpm`s I believe

Good point, i know when i got my pcm tuned, he asked if i had stock gears or if i changed them, so i was thinking the pcm might need to know for some reason

newguy 06-16-2013 11:04 AM

guess it may be possible to change if wanted/needed
