Has anyone put one in on there blazer and had a major horsepower gain. If so what brand did you buy. Im looking at getting one for mine.

have you tried a search?? i know there should be quite a bit on info on multiple brands and how they each compare to each other. if your looking for "major" hp gains you wont get it from a handheld IMO youll need an actual dyno tune get get all the power availible most handhelds will give you some improvements, but theyre still just a generic "make everyone happy" tune.

Please define "major". If you are expecting to pick up 50+HP, you will be disappointed.

I put a Power Pup (by Bully Dog) on my Blazer. It worked ok. Not a huge HP gain, but I could definately notice it. Then I played around with the shift pressure....

...$400 later I have a new TCC.

My advice:
Don't mess with the transmission settings. Tune the engine only.

I suggest getting a custom tune ( like pcm4less,w4m, etc etc) They'll all know the settings that should be right for your truck. As far as trans goes, a little more line pressure wont hurt anything in fact it will help save your transmission in the long run. You can get a custom tune for probably cheaper than a cheesy programmer. I know with my truck (SSHD) on the dyno before the tune we had 373hp after the retune we got 402hp. Like mike said you wont be looking at no 50hp.
