Haha weird seening anything less then 150 hp as ive been watching lots of videos of build 900 hp chevelles etc. Id love to get mine dino'd. it'd be interesting on what shes spitting out.

What kinda mods have you done?

88cougar 02-11-2012 03:23 AM

well i have a jba cat-back and thats about it i was high test that day too. future mods once i get the money are either twin turbo bulit 4.3 or lt4 swap leaning more towards the 4.3 tho

Cool to see one on a dyno. For this very reason mine will be getting a 5.3 in the future.

88cougar 02-11-2012 08:17 PM

haha thanks and yeah im still torn between ls1 and turbo

chris015 02-11-2012 08:40 PM

Honestly man a ls1 is a way to go as you get instant power increase, more line of production parts and if you set it right you can nail 29 mpg highway.

88cougar 02-12-2012 02:33 PM

well then the judge has decided lol ls1 it is. gonna be a while tho gonna save up $10k lol

I would do a 5.3 from a truck man. They are are far cheaper than an actual LS motor and all the parts are interchangeable. Also, they put down 10-15 hp less than a 5.7. I went with a 6.0 LQ4 from a truck because of the price and it has an iron block which will benefit me when I turn up the boost.

yeah thats what i was thinking. its going to a lot harder for me though i have a 4x4
