RE: helping my blazer live longer
The best thing that you can do to ensure a long life in your truck is to keep up with all the maintainence.
Change all the fluids regularly, treat the rubber weatherstrips, clean all the mud and salt of the bottom every spring etc... |
RE: helping my blazer live longer
it has 170k miles on it
would it be worth it to get a cold air intake? |
RE: helping my blazer live longer
your car sounds exactly like mine and this is exactly what i'm trying to do with my blazer (minus the HP increasing). i spent only $500but mine is a242,xxx mi. vehicle lol, butstill runs strong! to increase longevity, you can seafoam the motor to flush out everything (top end, injectors, TB, oil system). then, dump some Engine Restore in the oil to restore compression. after that, switch to synthetic to keep it running strong. make sure all fluids are properly changed at all times, and this will maximize performance, MPG and the overall life of the vehicle!

|
RE: helping my blazer live longer
i rarely use AIM anymore, due to college/work life. i can redirect you to a link from another forum i'm with, that explains the entire procedure. just let me know.
