Ls1 or ls3 swap

Say fellas bout to start a motor swap can't decide if I want to do a ls1 or ls3 either way I am going to procharge with a cam and port and polished heads and some internals some advise would be greatly appreciated thanksssssssss

I don't have much advise for the actual swap into a s10, but i do own a 4th gen f-body so i'm very familiar with the LS scene.

Not sure what your budget is like but you may want to look into a 5.3 or 6.0 truck engine instead. Especially if your going to be ripping it apart changing heads/cam and internals anyways... They are an iron block, make great power when built for boost and could save you a lot of money on the initial engine purchase.

Check out ls1tech.com if you haven't already...

Im loving my 5.3 FSC. I would love to drive a dime with this engine alone in it, nevermind a charged engine. I also figure you will be plenty happy with a 5.3 or 6.0... I mean with all that power comes tons more mods to the driveline. So if you are keeping stock axles, then you might not want tons of power.

Go with the truck 5.3L, I picked mine up with an engine harness for $300. They are cheap and are very satisfactory in the power dept. We are also in the process of throwing one in a LT1 Camaro with a 76 trim turbo. Great overall platforms.
