performance ignition control module icm replacement

the ignition control module went bad on my bravada and i got a $35 replacement from autozone. i think the new one has went bad after a few days. im going to have it checked tomorrow and if it is bad i want to get a better one. i noticed that accel makes one for around $80. can you actually see a difference between something like that? is there anything else that could get me better gas milage/performance?

Accel makes a performance replacement ICM?? Are you sure that wasn't the coil??

Anyway, with the ICM and most electronics for our vehicles, AC Delco parts are generally the tried and true replacements (they were OEM afterall). If you do not have an AC Delco retailer close by (check their website), then online stores would be the best bet at getting genuine AC Delco parts at or near the aftermarket parts available at your local autozone or advanced.

yup sure enough accel makes an ICM. heres some info i found about it. when i go to autozone tomorrow if it is indeed bad i will go ahead and replace it through them with another one but i will order the accel icm tomorrow as well.

Well, that is the response you get when you do not specify what year of truck you have. Accel does not make an ICM for the mid-'95+ systems. In the future, it may be helpful to post your vehicle information...

I still would prefer AC Delco parts over Accel, especially given that it is cheaper than the Accel.
