proformance

Im wanting to switch my clutch fan over to an electic one for better AC proformance. I figure I will add some horse power and gas mileage also. Has anyone on this site done this and what size electric fan and thermostat did you use?

Switching to electric fans doesn't really help ac performance. It does give you a tiny bit of hp, not enough to justify the hassle,IMO. If you really want the best bang for your buck performance, get your pcm tuned! (Depending on year).

However, if you really want to find a donor I believe a ford taurus will work but you have to redo the wiring harness. If I'm wrong someone please correct me!

What is your ac doing that you need better performance?

if its better ac perf. u want why not put a 12 inch pusher on the condenser and hooking it up to the ac clutch 12v line so it only comes on when the ac is on this way you have constant flo over the condenser with high cfm at stops which im assuming is when its heating up a little and why you want it
