sea foam

i really want to sea foam my engine and clean it out. i have a 95 blazer lt 4x4. i plan on doing it around dusk where i can go up to the elementry school in my neighborhood.

what do people recommend adding it from? i know there are many places like brake booster. gas tank and intake.

what are the three main places i should add it. and in what order.

I had mine done at the local performance shop, half went in the gas tank, the other half in the vacuum. I initially ran and revved it for a few minutes, then you let it sit for 10, then take it out on the highway and beat it down a little.

I noticed an improvement the same day (Mine is a 97 Jimmy 4.3)

okay you want to pour 1/3 in the tank, 1/3 in the intake (cleans more than going through the brake booster line) and 1/3 in the oil.

Or if you dont want it in the oil, 1/2 in tank and 1/2 in intake.

when you pour it in the intake rev it to about 2k, pour it slowly not killing the engine
then towards the end pour a lot off it killing the engine.
let is sit for 15 mins then try starting it (it will be a hard start)
then give her hell and rev the suker to blow the crap out.
make sure you change your plugs after this, because seafoam can fowl plugs

for the gas tank just pour it in, but a good fuel injector cleaner will work better.

If you do it in the oil, just pour it in and don't drive it on that oil for more than 200 miles
(it will be super black)
but be warned if you do put it in your oil it may cause new leaks because the junk in the lines plugged the hole

How many miles do you have, also it depends what quality of gas your use, that can make a huge difference

119k miles.

fixin er up as it's a little cosmetically damaged. it has potential, but i'm learning as i go.
