Summit Racing Mufflers?

Ok from what ive heard the suppose to be Flowmaster 40 series clones and run for about $29.95 , ive seen a few videos on youtube and they seem to sound pretty good, ive had a couple 40 series originals and i like the sound but dont know about these. Anyone actually have one or had both and can give an honest experienced answer? are they just as good or still pretty good for the fraction of the price or am i better off just sticking with good ol' flowmasters?

here's the link to the Summit Racing Muffler called street & strip race mufflers.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated:)

I have absolutely no experience with these clones, so I can't give you answer about that but a flowmaster isn't expensive, honestly. You can pick a 40 series up on Amazon for under 60 bucks.

Well Summit's stuff is rebranded. So you're probably not getting the "Summit" brand, but instead, something like a Flow or Thrush. Both sound good.

Imo, it may sound similar but the construction quality could be less than a flowmaster. You usually pay for what you get with auto parts.

coo ,thanks for the responses guys,im more curious then anything about them, the price is not a issue cuz i know flowmasters go all day for like 57buck on ebay. im thiking ur right that they probly do sound good but use a lower grade material..which i dont see it being an issue cuz i live in cali so our mufflers dont rust like back east and thats the only thing i would think probly be a concern with the lower grade material right?

I know this thread is kind of old but I will tell you how I am going to be doing my exhaust maybe it will help maybe it wont but either way ... I will be getting a Flowmaster Outlaw Shorty 3" in/out along with a 5" tip and having the muffler welded to the c.c. and then the 5" tip angled slightly downward I got the idea of a guy I was talking to on Youtube
