who do i take my truck to to get the computer tuned for performance and about how much does it cost??? i drive a 01 xtreme blazer 4.3 and can anyone tell me what trans i have?

You can send your PCM off to get Tuned or you can purchase a tuned PCM. a few places that do this are: PCMforless.com, wait4meperformance.com, BlackBearPerformance.com.

And you have a 4L60E transmission unless you have a manual i believe

Edit: as far as cost, i just ordered my tuned PCM from wait4me performance for $163. im not sure on the exact cost for the other ones but i know its quite a bit more.

The places mentioned above do a great job. Or you can try a local shop if there's one in your area. However, are you planning on doing any mods performance wise? Changing tire size? These are all things to take into account before getting a tuned PCM. Thats why I'm waiting (lol, we've all heard that line before gentlemen) until I get the larger tires I want and the rest of the engine mods I hope to have done in the next year. That way when I do get the PCM tuned all of those have been accounted for and I'll get the most bang for my buck. Just my .02.
