Default Front diff, 3.73 gears

So, I'm the guy who cut a hole in his diff installing a lift

Apparently jb weld doesn't hold that good. So, I'm needing a new diff housing. 3.73 gear ratio.

I'm in dfw, so it would be really cool if someone had one I could pick up. I bet shipping would be rediculous on it.

Thanks!

JB Weld is some pretty amazing stuff but it is not magic. Good luck. Hopefully you will find one of those cast-iron front drive shafts as an upgrade.

Yeah, that would be nice. Rarer than hens teeth, from what I've heard, though

I have the one I pulled out of my Blazer, but I'm not sure what the ratio is. Unfortunately, it will be at least a week before I'm at my shop and can check it out. If it will work for you, and you haven't found one by then, I'll make you a great deal on it.

Where are you located, Tom?

Sunny California. But it probably wouldn't be too terrible to ship, especially since the long side axle tube is already pulled off it.

If shipping to 76033 isn't too much, and it's 3.73, I'm sure we could work out something

I'll check the ratio and we can go from there. Do you know if 3.73 is a typical ratio for a 2000 4-door Blazer with an automatic? My Blazer is also at my shop, so I can't check the code in the glovebox, either.

I have no idea as to what are the most common ratios. If you have your VIN handy, I bet it'll tell, on one of those decoder websites.

You having a SAS done to yours?

My 1999 4wd with AT has 3.73 gears but the best way to check is by the RPO numbers. A quick internet search should bring up the RPO codes for the different ratios. For what it is worth, my rear (and front) axle ratio code is GT4.
