grab the slip shaft/half shaft going to the front...

grab the slip shaft/half shaft going to the front differential and see if it is free in 2 wd or....see if there is any difference in its feel...from 2wd to 4wd....if locked in-in 2wd..I would look...

use 2 wrenches and try and pull the orfice tube out..Like DonL said...It may come out and perhaps you can insert in the new tube...tighten everything down and be good to go..Changing the evaporator...

I would call a GM Dealer prepared with your vin # and see if they could cut it for you...They have for me...In my opinion, that would be better than tearing the switch out of the other...Just my 5...

I use a 25/32nds open end wrench to get it out..(you obviously could use its metric equiv)..threads in and threads out. There is one propr way the 3 hose connector goes on..you'll see a little 'tit'...
