grab the slip shaft/half shaft going to the front...

grab the slip shaft/half shaft going to the front differential and see if it is free in 2 wd or....see if there is any difference in its feel...from 2wd to 4wd....if locked in-in 2wd..I would look...

I think I proceed would to try and A) get it apart and B) replace the orfice filter (if you can). I would not attempt to straighten it as this may create an issue. You may already have an issue...

use 2 wrenches and try and pull the orfice tube out..Like DonL said...It may come out and perhaps you can insert in the new tube...tighten everything down and be good to go..Changing the evaporator...

I would call a GM Dealer prepared with your vin # and see if they could cut it for you...They have for me...In my opinion, that would be better than tearing the switch out of the other...Just my 5...

unhook the vacuum lines from the transfer case switch and see if it doesn't happen again..If it doesn't, I would replace the transfer case switch...

I use a 25/32nds open end wrench to get it out..(you obviously could use its metric equiv)..threads in and threads out. There is one propr way the 3 hose connector goes on..you'll see a little 'tit'...

If the pump is out it is not recommended to run it dry although I have but..why not put 4 cotter pins in the pigtail and test it with a 12v test light..should be 4 wires...2 grounds (check them both)...
