I have a bad feeling the whole shaft is loose due to a bad bearing. Any chance the bearing can be replaced from the outside, or do I have to open the TC?

So after 11 hours in the garage, I was able to change out the manifold gaskets on my kid's 2000 Jimmy. All went pretty well thanks to the help and instructions found on this forum. Only problem is...
