Thanks for the quick reply, I've got my laptop with me in the garage with the truck right in front of me. I havn't taken off the support yet, but its looking like thats only way to get that pan off....

transmission fluid pan pains

Howdy all. I'm working on changing out my transmission fluid/filter but i've hit a bit of a snag in the process. I was able to get all of the bolts off of the pan and it is now able to move around....

That's similar to what was happening to mine before I had to change out the fuel pump. It would sputter around and eventually stall unless I kept my foot on the gas... and then once my foot was off...

The saucer shaped thing is the EGR. On mine there are just 2 bolts holding it on there and then the vacuum line that controls it, probably the same on yours. If it's the egr's first time to be taken...

I've had to take my AC control off a few times for different things. The temp. control cable on mine is held in by a little red piece of plastic with a peg that falls into a slot on the AC controls....

Best of luck with it. We had a fuel pump go out on a '91 s-10 pickup and it ended up just being easier to take the bed off and do the work that way.
