iam kinda goin through the same thing now. getttin a p0171 and p0174 code. been going on for a while. this is a new engine too like 20k replaced pump and regulator had some vaccume leaks fixed them...

ok well just went down to the shop to check to see if the pressure dropped and sure enough it did. the guage now reads 42psi so within a hour it dropped about 20psi

well what you can try to see if it is the cat is to take the o2 sensor before the cat out completly. if you do this and you notice some gainn inn power than chances are the cat is clogged.

hey. idk if this helps but i had to do it the other way and everything worked fine for me.. i put a 2000 engine in my 1997 blazer and it all bolted up fine to my trans.

yup i agree with midnight for where the leak is comming from mine did the same replaced the intake gaskets no more leak now installing a new motor though due to spun bearing but it had 290,000 miles...
