So far we have replaced the alternator, battery and the complete steering column. The gauges still bounce when the key is turned on.

Random Clinking when key turned on or off

Our 1993 Blazer has the same issue. We replaced the steering column with a rebuilt one with no luck. Removed the glove box and the noise appears to be coming from the black box below the ecm unit.

93 Blazer Gauges go Wacky!

Has anyone else had a similar problem? When the key is turn on all the gauges bounce for around 10 seconds before settling down.

93 Blazer K1500 Silverado

Under the ecm there is a black box where a clinking sound originates from when the key is turned on or off. Is anyone familiar with this and how to fix it?
