This is the one I am looking at, it looks the same as mine, but I have a black boot on the gear shift. My main concern is that the mounting holes would be different.

Towing harnes wiring issue

I had a 4 wire harness, I replaces it with a 4 & 7 harness. It was working fine, now if I have the trailer wiring plugged in and I hit the breaks the running lights come on (not the DRL, the amber)...

The wires are not crossed I checked and quadrouple checked them, I did not gap the plugs because on the box it said in bold caps "DO NOT GAP NOT ADJUSTABLE"
