thank you for the diagrams, why does the system require a vent for 2wd, but not for 4wd?

thank you, that was very helpful, just one thing now i'm trying to figure out where system gets vent then in 4x4, i am assuming it would need some, very helpful though.

i guess it was just my understanding, i was thinking the switch screws into to the housing and when in 2 hi the ball valve is depressed, allowing the vacume to suck from the volume of the housing,...
