Seat Back Adjustment Knob

My driver side seat back adjustment knob broke off of my 2002 Blazer like everyone elses on the planet.
My probelm is the shaft broke in a way (slivered) that the aftermarket knob fix won't work....

I had a Sunbird that did the very same thing. Check the fuses to the fuel pump if fuses are OK, it sounds like a fuel pump to me.
