had almost same prob it was the cam sensor under...

the lower rad hose should have a long coil spring...

the lower rad hose should have a long coil spring inside of it to keep the hose from collapsing if its not in there replace it and fix any leaks in the system

dist gasket goes where the dist contacts the lim the fuel o rings go where you disconnect them on top the old ones are either in the hole or on the fuel lines

never had any issues with dex-cool all coolants should be flushed regardless of brand at cretin intervals/miles.

i would change all fluids regardless of what previous owner says. he might of changed it but with what cheap stuff more then likely.
def do the trans fluid i do mine every 30k sometimes sooner...

look at the sticker in the glove box somewhere should say zr2 but if it didnt say it on the sticker in the motor bay you might not have a zr2. take some pics an post them
