Fluid is fairly brown, no burnt smell. Vehicle has a little over 340K. Tranny was rebuilt about 3 yrs. & a little over 100K back. No CEL, no 2nd gear starts. Goes...

I seem to have a strange downshift at cruise speed.
I use this old blazer as route vehicle on rural mail delivery route and first noticed it while traveling backroads at 35...

Just a thought...if you DO end up changing the TCCM, there were a couple of revisions to the unit in later versions. I don't recall the number for the latest revision, but it should be easy to find...
