Sucks alright! I discovered that the "pin" that retracts when you insert the key doesn't go out far enough to catch reliably to stop rotation, and its' corners are rounded to top it off. But to...

Rear glass / trunk won't lock?

While going over routine maintenance and cleaning, I discovered that my 1993 Blazer's rear glass wouldn't lock. It shuts and latches fine, but the exterior "t" handle with the lock cylinder behind...

RE: 93 4.3 Loping Idle, Stalls, am stumped.

Problem finally solved...I think. Time will tell. Turns out it was a bad distributor (whole unit), bearing were shot, allowing movement and variable messed up timing to computer. That's why bypass...

RE: 93 4.3 Loping Idle, Stalls, am stumped.

Pass. side near FPR was "clean", but now that spider and nutkit are replaced, neither should be an issue. Old nut kit was cracked on inside of bend, old spider seemed ok, but FPR could've been bad.

RE: Stumped...Dies on Idle cold.

Another update....Today it rained, and I decided to try again.

Droplets spread on wet ground and had gassy sheen, so I think it's gas only, not a mix. Seems to be overly rich on idle, and dies....

RE: Stumped...Dies on Idle cold.

OK...new problem. Spider and Nut Kit sealed fine, pulled plenum and was clean and dry. But I'm guessing I hydraulic'ed a cylinder and perhaps blew a head gasket? It was idling last night, then...

RE: Stumped...Dies on Idle cold.

Got a spider and nut kit, all told somewhere around $400. Replaced Spider and Installed Nut Kit. Retaining clip must have been loose, as supply line blew off and flooded a cylinder when trying to...

RE: Stumped...Dies on Idle cold.

UPDATE: Pulled intake valve and saw that FP reg. wasn't washed, had some carbon on it. Passenger side of plenum was relatively dry, driver's side looked "wet" all over, no obvious pooling. I'm...

Stumped...Dies on Idle cold.

After having my 1993 S-10 4.3 W-vin Tahoe's engine replaced with a short-block approx. 3000 mi. ago, I started experiencing some "interesting" problems. I noticed that if I floored the gas pedal, the...
