RE: Clunk/pop sound from front end

the outer brake pads on these vehicels have these little tabs which need to be bent inward after installation to keep the outer pad from shifting whild driving. Your mechanic should be aware of this...

RE: PLEASE!!! need help bad

you will need to provide information like year, mileage, engine size. It may also be helpful to know of any recent work you've had done. The fuel pumps are a common cause for an engine cranking over...

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

the lens is part of the housing which isn't needed once you install the newer 98 light setup. you just remove the lightbulb socket from the back of the lens/housing and move up to just below the...

RE: 2wd not disengauging propperly

Ok I did it. I put on 4 almost new BFG All Terrains of the right size 235/75R15 and low and behold the problem is gone. When I switch back into 2hi from 4hi I can't even feel it disenguage at all....

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

The 98 bumper can probably be bolted right on but I can't say for sure cause I never even looked into it. Having the blinker lenses there never bothered me enough to think about it.

RE: 2wd not disengauging propperly

yea exactly. it was $15 so no big deal. It's so common I may have prevented a near future problem. who knows.

I know thats what you said and I thought of that when the problem was happening but...

RE: 2wd not disengauging propperly

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

Yes. The housings are not interchangeable. The bulbs are as long as they are not sealed beam style headlights. the whole front face would be removed anyway but theres no reason to remove the lights...

RE: headlight questions

the sealed beam type headlighst are set into the grille an inch or 2 where as the ones with the halogen are flush with the oustide of the grille and it looks alot smoother. I believe from 1995-1997...

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

If you convert your trucks front to the 98 style those bulbs will have to be moved up to the lights that are just below the 98-2000 style headlights therefor leaving them empty of wiring or anything.

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

Thats what I meant. Finding a connector that fits onto the H1 bulb is easy (available after market) but creating a weatherproof way of inserting the H1 bulb into the housing (light fixture) designed...

RE: Disabling ABS

Someone can correct me if they know I'm wrong but I believe the front wheel speed sensors are built into the wheel bearing/hub assemblies and are not accessable without damaging the hole assembly....

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

hmmm how bout buying the housings with the clear lenses off ebay and modifying the bulb socket to accept an H1 or similar style bulb. Then it'd just be a matter of wiring it up. The hole moifying the...

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

Thats a good idea. I don't think it'd look too good unless you found ones that fit in there perfect. What might work well is if you could find clear lenses to replace the amber lenses and then mount...

RE: headlight questions

I've done this. I bought a 95 that was in a front end collision and I replaced the parts to give it a 98 headlight set up. You will need the radiator support because that is what the 98 style grille...

RE: Headlight swap... What do I need?

I did that mod myself. I bought a 95 that was hit and converted it to the 98 style. As long as your truck has the halogen replaceable bulbs and isn't the sealed beam type headlights then all you'll...

RE: COMPARE ANY TWO SIZE TIRES, BEST TOOL EVER

the rims/tires look sweet. they make your brakes look too small though. unless you like being able to change your brake pads without taking off your tires its time to upgrade to some bigger rotors....

RE: 2wd not disengauging propperly

Thats a good idea although when I take the switch out I could probably check it by pushing the ball in and seeing if it sticks in then also. Now that I remember its been doing this for the whole time...

To be perfectly honest the more I thought about it I can't remember if I have that selanoid/switch or not. It may have been a different truck I was working on and asosiated it with mine because it...

RE: rain getting in on the drivers side

I had that bushing problem but fixed it about a year ago. I'm thinking the weather stripping is still bad and even though me bending the door made the wind noise go away, the water is still probably...
