Got it

I rotated the drive shaft along with the axle so the pinion hole stayed lined up and low and behold the little c clips dropped out. The axles slid right out.

I am trying to remove the rear axle on my 99 4wd blazer. I got the rear differential cover off and removed the pinion pin. I pushed the axle in and can see up in the pinion hole a clip on the end...

Thanks for your help. The panel was stuck and I was afraid I would break it. I used a pry bar in behind it and it came loose. There behind the panel was my elusive tccm.
Now if I can just find...

Where exactly is the tccm located. I took of access panel under the glove box and there was a wiring harness but no tccm. Is it under the passanger side panel. If so, how do I remove that?
