8k winch will be fine. Buy a good snatch block and use it whenever the situation allows, that will put way less stress on the winch . Ive never weighed my rig , but I ballpark it at around 6-6500lbs....

If your trans has a kick down cable and its not adjusted correctly it will not shift correctly, sometimes not at all. Google 'procedure to adjust TV cable for 700R4' or something along those lines...

There are 2 door pins in the middle of the hinge that you need to knock out with a hammer and a punch. Or take the bolts out of the door hinge. I have no idea what tab you are talking...
