Bad Bearing and Shims

On my 1996 4x4 Blazer i noticed bad sounds from the rear axle so deicided to open it up.

Seems the drivers side bearing is really bad so need to replace it. It moves up and down and also the diff...

I need to order inner and outer bearings for my rear axle aswell as the seals. Trying to find the right ones on RockAuto but dunno which i need.

My diff in the rear can move too much...

Borrowing this thread to ask a Q. My 1996 Blazer with 4.2litre motor never gets hotter that 160 degrees. I am guessing it should be around 210 or so.??

Any ideas why mine never gets hotter ?

Since the tires i have on that are supposed to be 31" are just 29.2" i ordered new ones that are 30.8". Getting them next week and cant wait to get them :) Seems not many tires that are sold as 31"...

I removed old swaybar thingys and they was rusted and in really bad shape. Need to fint new bushings.....

Also Benedict, what/where did u put the swaybar ? Did u remove the plastic under the front...

I found the shaft by mailing drivetrain.com :)...

I found the shaft by mailing drivetrain.com :) Will order the shaft, output shaft bearing , seal and also the chain. Will change the chain since i am opening up the TC anyways :)

I have a 1996 Blazer with the 3 button TC, belive its called np233. The splines on the front output shaft on the TC and axle have gone bad so need to buy new and replace. Where can i buy those parts...

I live in a hilly town aswell and i always just drive in 2nd gear( 1-2 ). I feel when i drive with D it shifts alot and 2nd feels better and doesnt have much revs since i only drive 30mph in town.
