if you pulled the engine with the tanny still attached, did you reconnect the driveshaft/s? it's probably the transfere case in neutral though, like swarlkk suggested.

i'd check compression on all six cylinders. the middle plug on drivers side is a real bear. get a spark plug wrench , it has a t-handle and swivel real close to the socket. . you turn it like 1/6...

does compression check good ? we're having similar problem, ended up being bent valve (0 compression in 1 cylinder). don't know why valve bent, trying to figure it out before proceeding.
