They don't, It's a test for exhaust fumes in the coolant and/or coolant in the exhaust. I think you can purchase a test kit, or take it to a shop and they can do it for you.

If it has torsion bars then check where the t/bar connects to the crossmember. I have seen people have trouble with them comming loose. The mount is just about under your feet.

They can get real thin between the valves.
Pulled them had them welded valve grind and a couple of new seats-runs like a champ now.
