If the distributor is seated properly you, no way should there be a "wobble". If you have battery your gonna get spark on the coil wire. The rotor does the distributing.

Danno, The switch on the column that we replaced to correct the problem WAS on the 2000 Blazer. Found the fix and schematic when I first joined this Forum last year.I'd love to find out if this helps.
