Picked up the switch at oreilys for about 85...

Picked up the switch at oreilys for about 85 bucks. Fixed the problem like a charm. As an added bonus the fuel guage is working too so that's even better. I'll take all the help I can get. LOL.

Hey Tommy. I also have a 97 blazer and I'm having exactly the same problem. If replacing the ignition switch solves the problem do me a favor and please let me know.

Can't compare it to a hemi leper. I've gotan 04hemi 1500and it gets better MPG than my 2000 4.3 2wd blazer hands down. And yes both engines are tuned and running well. I haven't figured the MPG yet...
