yeah it is overkill but like you said its there... and yes i know it dosnt do that much for you. I just got a good deal on it so i decided to through it in there. I think it turned out nice.

The iPod interface on the alpine works very well. my only complaint is how the screen is limited to one line of text...therefore makes searching for songs a little more of a pain..but besides that...
