As you are looking at it the wire harrness should be on the rightside. I think there is only one way it can be installed if I remember correctly.

Hmmm...since no one answered, maybe I failed to explain.

The sound only occurs when backing up with the brakes applied. When I realease the brake petal the sound (The pump like sounds) stops.

Take your vac gage and check the Grey line on the vac harrness on the back of your HVAC contol on the dash. If you have good engine vac there then the problem should reside between the hvac control...

I have never had to make a tool or remove anything, once I figured out that if you jack the body up to releve the suspension pressure it gives you just enough room to use a wobbly to get on the plug....

I installed a "Flowmaster Clone" and the sounddidn't change, but then I had a plugged cat. conv. So I installed a "high-flow" cat and the sound improved dramaticaly.
