its alive

i mustve done the procedure a dozen times marks lined up rotor pointing to the 6 and everytime it was audibly wrong i finally got the no1 cylinder at the very beginning of the compression stroke...

took the cap back off after resetting no 1 to tdc...

took the cap back off after resetting no 1 to tdc and its 180 out so ill pull th distributor again and reset it

hey man I don't know if that was a factory part or not but I do know that is a first generation 2dr blazer doubt it would work in your second generation blazer assuming you can find one

Technically the engine is a Chevy blazer motor still 99 model as the original engine got wiped out by a set of leaking lim gaskets

I wonde how possible it is to remove the timing cover with the engine in the frame? Tomorrow i will drain the oil and ensure there are no chunks of anything in it though i doubt anything large enough...

Rack disassembly

You have to remove the rack then remove the end pieces. The crossbars are mounted to plastic sliding brackets. These slide all the way out of the main tubes once the base bracket is removed
