Vacuum pumps are very problematic on these gm diesels, but it somthing we have to live with cause you need vacuum, or put a electric pump like ford uses on their diesels.....

Today I got the engine installed, well kinda....I found that gm changed the bolt pattern that holds the motor mounts to the frame, my 1984 mounts wont fit!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO, I ordered mounts for a 1990...

have you got oil pressure?, cause the oil pressure switch wont supply fuel until proper oil pressure is built up, just somthing to check.

I agree, Most of the roads I drive on in north Idaho are brushy, causing what we call "north idaho pinstripes". A spray can later and it looks like new LOL. well, kinda, except the dents........

Dual wheels of road are great.. I use log skidders that have dual wheels and log trucks that have dual wheels, they also do great, better than those new big trucks with single wide tires in the rear....

With 33 inch tires 3.73 ratio is about as steep as yo want to go, you could use 4.11 for 35 or 36 inch tires. I think the 10 bolt front axle is the same as the 3/4 ton trucks, just the spindles out...
