That's how I normally have it hooked up to the deck, I just used the pter amp to check with different RCAs. It bounces the sub on the left input on the amp.

Why would it do that? Is my amp bad?

I just used a dremal tool and sanded where the rim was hitting I didnt have to take off to much just sanded it down then put the rim on and tightened it down and made sure it wasn't hitting anything....
