Water temperature gauge?

I was wondering where the water temperature sender is located on a 96 4.3L vortec. I checked other posts and searched for it but couldn't find anything....I am going to be drag racing it this summer...

Yeah i live in Iowa so we really don't have any vehicle inspection laws except it has to have a catalytic converter on it and that is about it. We don't have our vehicles inspected it's just if a cop...
