Oil Additive

I have seen this oil additive everywhere. Mostly in magazines, and then one day I saw it in Wal-Mart.

What it is, is some kind of additive that helps increase cylinder compression. I am really...

So, I have a 1985 Chevy S10 Blazer 2.8L 4-Speed Auto 4x4 and a 1992 Chevy S10 Extended Cab 2.8L 5-Speed Manual 4x2.

Now, which one has the higher differential gearing? If I need to get the VIN...

RE: 1992 S10 engine (3.5L, 3.9L)

I have looked at those 3.4L's. Same power as the older 4.3L's which is pretty sweet.

I do like the 3.4L, and would totally get a 3.4L, but where the heck do I find them? I have only found 1, and...

RE: 1992 S10 engine (3.5L, 3.9L)

Truck engine, car engine, it doesn't matter. They are all the same these days, espeically since these are a Pushrod engine. Don't underestimate the power of these engines. 3.9L peak torque of...

1992 S10 engine (3.5L, 3.9L)

Ok, I have the poo the 2.8L V6. It has the 5-Speed manual in it, but I also have a 4-Speed Auto just chillin' outside.

Now, can a High Value 3.5L or 3.9L GM engine fit under the hood and slide...

Are there any brake kits for an 85 Blazer? I want to get ride of the drums in the rear, and put in discs. Then if possible, I would like to put larger calipers up front.
I am not sure if stock are...

RE: 85' Blazer Swap

Last question that I can think of. What about diesels? Are there any diesels that will fit in there without needing to also upgrade the front suspension for the added weight.

RE: 85' Blazer Swap

DUDE!!! That is insane! 550hp?

Mine is a 4WD Blazer. I knew that I would need a new transmission. I would love a manual, but I think for this an Automatic would be better.
Though, would I...

85' Blazer Swap

Well I have a 85' S10 Blazer. Has the 2.8L engine. The thing runs, but is just filled with a ton of problems and the thing is just sludged to hell.

I am thinking that it wouldn't cost me that...

RE: 4x4, how do you know?

Ok, say the I do do this and the front tires do not spin. What would most likely be the cause of it not engadging? Also, would this be expensive to fix?

4x4, how do you know?

I just got a 1985 S10 Blazer 4x4. 2-Door with the 2.8L Auto 2BBL engine.

Now, how do I know if 4x4 is engadged? I was putting around my yard today in 4x2, 4x4H, and 4x4L. The only time that I...
