If your only running it at the track there shouldn't be an issue with safety too much. There won't be any trees to hit. Just walls, you can usually bounce off the walls.

I've got 30x9.5 on stock wheels and they are damn close. They don't rub when I'm driving but if I'm turning and the suspension flexes the right way while wheeling then they will rub
