Don't do the used engine is a good stopping point.

We got a 1000 miles out of our 'ideal' used end but did get back home in it tonight with 20 PSI of oil pressure and it knocking.

I bought it off of CL so I have not one to come back on like if it...

Not total sure what you mean by 'locked'?

If I park with the wheels cut then shut it off sometimes it will bind so I just cut the wheel a bit to remove the pressure so I can unlock it on 2002...

Thumbs up That is WHY I would not use 50 PSI. :)

With the chemical reaction from Dexcool in this generation of S10's I just assume after my experience that speeding up the failure of the heater core is not a good thing. :)

The initial Dexcool...

Exclamation I would just blow it out by mouth in both directions.

50 PSI of water pressure is 3x the normal operating pressure. On the 98 S10 that we did the engine swap on I just blew out the dirty coolant and refilled it by pouring water in to the heater hose and...

Question Why Do You Think You Have an Issue?

A 15 year/100K+ old vehicle that does not leak enough from the transmission or engine to lower the level on the dip stick and runs fine sounds like a good used truck in these parts. :)

I can see 20w-50 Synthetic Use.

With a knocking engine if the heavier oil reduces the knocking that has to be a good thing. These 4.3 engines do not have to turn 5000 RPM to put out a lot of power. An engine on its last leg that...

Question Idle 1500 RPM If The Car Is Rolling 2+ MPH.
