RE: any trans rebuilders here?? help..

I cant answer your question. Seems like a no-brainer. If the checkball doesn't seal replace it.

How are you testing its sealing ability? Most circuits in auto transmissions have "some" amount...

RE: Down shifts aren't right

Governor in a 95??? I'm pretty sure the 95 I worked on in the shop today was a 4L60E.... meaning no governor.

Full sized trucks became electronic in 93 I think? Are S10's and Blazers the same?...

RE: Transmission control module

Maybe you have a break in the wiring to the solenoid???

If you have a 233 transfer case you would need to check codes by grounding pin 13 (orange wire) on the OBDII connector then watching the...

RE: overdrive lockup

Is your blazer triggering 1870?

Computer controls TCC. Computer must see proper inputs before it turns on TCC (ie TPS, VSS, CTS, ect). Computer controls TCC on 96 Blazer 4L60E by grounding the...

RE: 97 4l60e.. trans tech please lookie

Load release springs on 3-4 clutch.... I will agree that leaving them out will make a firmer 2-3 shift, but to every upside, there is a downside. They are there to keep the 2-3 from "dragging" due to...

RE: help understanding a code.

I fix this code a couple times a month with valve body repair. TCC reg valve wears out. Valve body needs bored oversize and oversized TCC reg valve is installed.

I always do the AFL valve as...

RE: leadind up to my p1870 code

1870 is usually worn TCC reg valve. Requires boring valve body oversized, and installing oversized TCC reg vavle.

I always do the AFL valve as well, because it causes other problems, especially...

RE: 4l60e to 700r4 How do I?

If your throttle body doesn't have a place to hook the cable to then you can get a "holley 20-40" kit at your friendly local autoparts stores.

Speedo? Is yours a 4wd? Then speedo is on the...

RE: possible 4l60E to 700r4??

Acutally I think this would be very possible to do. Little harness splicing and computer replacement and it would be a direct drop in. Especially since you have the donor vehicle. Transfer case...

RE: Transmission Trouble??

Sure does sound like low fluid. Slips on turns and at stops? Fluid sloshes to the front on stops, and sloshes to the sides on turns, causing pump to get a big swallow of air. Pump cant make pressure...

RE: Transmission fluid

HOGWASH! Wives tale! Gosh I get tired of hearing this!

Never once seen this happen, but "hear" it all the time.

If your fluid is dark, remove the pan, change the filter (most important),...
